In December we posted an article: Best Practices, Business Rules or Just Good IdeasOver the next four weeks we will continue to present other topics and Canadian court decisions which define Best Practices in Procurement.  We have selected success stories of smart contract managers who have used contracting wisely and effectively, and also stories about some of the best practices used by private companies and public bodies, including the use of Fairness Monitors and Prequalification.

 

Let’s dive in with an amazing story about lousy quality, a confrontational supplier, and a civil servant who deserved recognition as a hero. He did a difficult job, maintained his composure, and greatly improved quality for his township. In turn, his boss, the Chief Administrative Officer, provided critical support and backup.
