Course Overview
In this interactive, self-directed online course, you will learn about the fundamental principles that govern public sector procurement in Canada. You will learn the key legal differences between regular contract law and competitive contracting law. Once you have completed this course you will understand the important steps in effectively planning any procurement, as well as how to obtain approvals to proceed and key areas of risk when conducting the solicitation process. At a high level, you will review the important components of any solicitation document and resulting contract, and learn about your obligations to maintain appropriate and complete documentation in your procurement files.
