NECI requires a part-time legal researcher to conduct monthly Quicklaw and other searches on specified topics. Remuneration will be on an hourly rate basis, and we cover all associated expenses. It is likely that not more than six hours per month will be required, but this may develop into a larger role with our organization.
This position is open to anyone with a legal background, including students in second year law school or higher. We are seeking someone with a proven ability in legal analysis, and a keen interest in researching and writing on legal topics. Knowledge of procurement law is an asset but not essential – training will be provided.
For the right candidate, as you become more familiar with the content, there may be the opportunity to contribute articles to our publication and/or to become involved as a legal education instructor for our seminars.
