Procurement and Contract Management Program (PCMP)

Proficiency Levels

The Procurement and Contract Management Program (PCMP) is a new corporate learning program that improves procurement and contract management practices in sophisticated organizations. PCMP courses focus on developing practical skills and sharing best practices at each level – whether you are starting with the basics or pursuing professional certification.

PCMP Courses

The courses within the Program are competency-based and results-driven, and include on-line resources to support learning at every level - from administrator to executive. All staff that are engaged in the procurement process or are responsible for managing procurement and contract activities will benefit.

Level 1: Basic

This entry-level course provides a basic understanding of contracting and procurement policies and practices and consists of three web-based self-directed training modules.
L110 Procurement Foundations e-learning

Level 2: Fundamental

Building on the basic foundations in Level 1, Level 2 provides more detailed and complex information about contracting concepts. To ensure the most effective learning environment, learners become familiar with the course knowledge components in advance to focus on building skills with their peers in the class.

L204 Laws and Ethics for Competitive Procurement
L205 Procurement Management and Negotiations: Theory and Issues

Level 3: Applied

Advancing on the first two levels, Level 3 is intended for those with prior experience in procurement and contract management requiring a higher level of specialization in a broader range of areas. The final course includes an omnibus case study spanning all program elements.

Level 4: Strategic

The Executive Level covers strategic procurement and contract management issues and incorporates general competencies such as communications, transition, change, risk, and performance management, including the impact of strategic procurement decisions and actions, changes in roles and accountabilities during transition.
